Dine in at Villa Los Frailes
Dinner service is available and is highly recommended on your arrival day. Salomon’s wife, Berenice, prepares authentic Mexican dinners for $15 USD/person, payable in cash directly to Salomon. There are usually leftovers for lunch the next day as well. Salomon can help coordinate.
Local Fishing Village
The area boasts world class fishing, with fresh dorado, tuna, sailfish, wahoo, grouper, snapper, rooster fish, cabrilla and marlin available depending on the season. Check in with Salomon, and he can fill you in on how to buy some local caught fish at very reasonable prices.
Grocery Stores
It is best to buy everything in San Jose Del Cabo on your way out from the airport. Villa Los Frailes has a fully equipped kitchen and usually has basic spices, flour, sugar, and some condiments. If you want a particular item, bring it. During hot weather bring a cooler, buy ice and pack your perishables for the drive to Los Frailes. Here are the best grocery options as of April 2018.
- Costco – near Cabo San Lucas
- Soriana Híper – San Jose Del Cabo
- La Comer – San Jose Del Cabo
- Chedraui – San Jose Del Cabo
- Minisuper El Rey – La Ribera (very small)
- Cabo Pulmo Grocery (even smaller – just basic non-perishables)
Cabo Pulmo Restaurants
There are 5 restaurants in Cabo Pulmo to choose from. They aren’t spectacular, but it’s fun to go into town on occasion and is recommended for at least one night. Links to reviews, maps and menus below (June 2018).
